The Child Protection committee works closely with the Adult Protection Committee, currently chaired by Saffa Baxter, which has been set up to ensure good joint working in the field of adult support and protection.

Careful consideration is given to children in the 16 – 18 age group who may, if they are already vulnerable, be covered by child protection legislation even although Adult Protection law is targeted at 16 plus.
