The library home delivery service is provided for people who are unable to visit their library because of age or illness. The service is also available to individuals who live in retirement homes and sheltered housing. Friends, family, helpers (e.g. Social Workers and Home Carers) can apply on behalf of applicants.
An initial visit to an applicant at home will explain the service and note any personal reading preferences.
Every four weeks, readers receive a visit to their homes to deliver a selection of books including large print and spoken word tapes. This service is provided in partnership with local voluntary agencies.
