Football development

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture deliver an extensive football programme across the whole locality. This caters for both boys and girls from the age of 3 to 16.

All sessions within the programme are delivered by a qualified SFA Coach and are focused on skills, technique, game awareness and most importantly enjoyment.

For specific times, dates and venues check out the ACE Children's Activities.

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture also work in partnership with the Scottish Football Association (SFA) to provide various opportunities for young people and adults from participating in football programmes to developing as coaches.

Schools programmes

In partnership with the SFA, South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture has taken forward the McDonald's and Tesco Bank programmes for primary schools.

Both of these projects involve coaching and games played in a festival format for the schools taking part.

Club Development

In close partnership with the SFA, local clubs are supported in their progress towards achieving 'Quality Mark' or alternatively South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's Club Accreditation Scheme. South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture's commitment to this area is particularly evident in the under 16 reduced rate policy for clubs and groups.
