Aims and ObjectivesThis policy sets out the principles upon which records management is implemented throughout the Council and the aims of records management procedures. It also identifies responsibilities for records management throughout the Council.

ConclusionWith regard to the Public Sector equalities duties, the Council's Records Management Policy takes account of relevant legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. The conclusion of this initial equality impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations.
