Service AreaEducation Resources
Aims and ObjectivesCurrently primary schools are allocated Depute Headteacher posts/management time based on pupil roll. This is in addition to the Head Teacher post. It is proposed to review the roll bandings and allocations which will lead to a reduction in Depute Head Teacher posts and an increase in basic teacher posts from August 2010.

ConclusionThe conclusion of this initial impact assessment is that there is no evidence to suggest that the proposal to review the roll bandings and allocations which will lead to a reduction in Depute Head Teacher posts and an increase in basic teacher posts from August 2010 will have any adverse impact on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations.
