Aims and ObjectivesLTP 28 - contact all primary and secondary schools with a view to completing a school travel plan.
LTP 29 - Travel Awareness will be promoted
LTP 30 - investigate missing in the bus network and seek ways to fill these either
LTP 31 - support current national and regional policy on concessionary fares
LTP 32 - ensure that new developments take into account public transport access
LTP 33 - support new footway and cycleway links
LTP 34 - work with other partners to make those seeking employment aware of transport opportunities to places of employment.
LTP 35 - give due regard to the needs of people with disabilities in designing new transport schemes.
LTP 36 - lobby Network Rail to examine the feasibility of improving all railway stations
LTP 37 - ensure that staff are trained in disability awareness.
LTP 38 - promote and raise awareness of existing rural public and community transport services.
LTP 39 - promote and facilitate partnership working between the different groups involved in the use and operation of rural public transport.
LTP 40 - lobby the Scottish Executive for improved public transport links between Clydesdale, Livingston and Edinburgh.

Conclusion? The conclusion of this initial equality impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations. We can, however, work better with disability groups to improve our service.
