South Lanarkshire Council has undertaken in-depth consultation with a wide range of stakeholders, including equality forums. In carrying out this equalities impact assessment, the Council has reached the conclusion that the introduction of the Scheme of Assistance will not have any significant adverse impact on any equalities group. In setting out the Scheme, care has been taken to ensure that the services provided will be accessible to every eligible home owner and private sector tenant who requests it, irrespective of their background.
