Aims and ObjectivesSouth Lanarkshire Council Social Work Resources are developing a new Emergency Social Work Service which will become operational on 31 March, 2009.

ConclusionThe conclusion of the assessment of the proposals for the new Emergency Social Work Service is that there are no adverse issues in terms of equality and diversity at this juncture. However, it is acknowledged that there will be a need to review the service in operation in order to ensure that key targets and objectives are being met. It is planned to update this assessment by 31/10/09, when the Emergency Social Work Service has been in operation for a 6 months period.
