| Aims and Objectives | This policy sets out the South Lanarkshire approach as a corporate parent for looked after children. The policy and its implementation highlights the commitment of the local authority and partners agencies to improve outcomes for looked after children and young people in line with the four national capacities for Education and the 7 UN Convention Themes on the Rights of the Child. |
| Conclusion | A full impact assessment is not required as there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or community relations. This is a new policy with clear regard for rights for looked after children and young people who are some of the most vulnerable in our communities. It will not result in any adverse impacts on any part of the community or on community relations. |
