Aims and ObjectivesSocial Work Resources have a duty to ensure that the control and administration of medicines within its residential houses are both safe and effective.






ConclusionThe Medication Policy and Practice Guidelines have been formulated to ensure that the health needs of all the children and young people within residential child care are met.

It is a new policy with no baseline information. It will be monitored, evaluated and reviewed annually. This process will identify the impact on the children, any gaps, areas for improvement and areas that are working well. The policy will then be revised in line with the outcome of the review. Therefore a full impact assessment is not required at this time.
