| Description | Lanark Library is located on Hope Street, off Lanark High Street, a short distance from the Sheriff Court and a few minutes walk from the main shopping area. Parking is available to the rear of the library. Public library with adult fiction and non-fiction books, photocopier, music CDs, newspapers, William Smellie Collection of medical textbooks, local history collection, children's library and children's events. The library also has an activeIT learning centre with 10 PCs for public use and a refreshment machine. The activeIT centre is LearnDirect Scotland accredited and offers free internet and wi-fi access and a range of training materials. The library is also the administrative base for mobile library services in the Lanark area. |
| Bookbug sessions | Mondays 10-10.30a, and 11-11.30am. Thursdays from 2pm-2.30pm (term-time only) for children aged 0-3 years. The Bookbug Reading Challenge also runs throughout the summer holidays for children aged 0-5 years. |
