Aims and ObjectivesIt is proposed to undertake a further review of the Clerical and Administrative Support employed across the Resource. This review proposes to reduce the total Clerical and Administrative Support by 26 Full Time Equivalent posts.
ConclusionAs part of the Council's budget savings exercise, it is proposed to review the current Clerical and Administrative support within Housing and Technical Resources, with the aim of reducing this by 26 Full Time Equivalent posts. It is recognised that due to the profile of employees in these roles, this proposal is more likely to impact on females. However steps have been taken to reduce this impact and achieve the savings by the redployment of staff into other posts, not filling vacant posts as they arise and via early retirement. Following the impact assessment undertaken, the Council has reached the conclusion that the implementation of this saving will not therefore have any significant adverse impact on any equality group.
