Education Resources - Approved budget reduction proposals 2011-2012 - Reduce payments to outside agencies from Community Learning Service | South Lanarkshire Council
Title | Education Resources - Approved budget reduction proposals 2011-2012 - Reduce payments to outside agencies from Community Learning Service |
Council Resource | Education |
Service Area | Education Resources |
Aims and Objectives | A proportion of the Community Learning budget has funded various external organisations for the provision of further education services. It is proposed to reduce the level of payments to several partner organisations. |
Conclusion | The conclusion of this initial impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations. However, there is a recognition that a reduction in the level of payments could undermine the nature of specific partnership working. Another adverse effect may be that partners have to redirect learners/users back to the Council for services that may or may not be able to be delivered. Targets set nationally could be affected and there could be an adverse impact on the quality of service delivery. |
