| Project Description | This project aims to address the need for New Lanark to improve access and parking if it is to realise its visitor growth potential. The main aims of the project are to provide an enhanced visitor experience and negate the negative impact traffic has on the village and its residents. The project consists of upgrading of the electrical supply to the car park, installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, lighting columns, CCTV and parking bollards.The project is part of a wider initiative that aims to introduce a bus service comprising using two electric vehicles doing loops from the car park to the village of New Lanark and the town of Lanark, making both more accessible to visitors and locals. |
