| Description of service | The Citizens Advice Bureau works closely within the local community to meet local people's needs, offering free and impartial advice on financial or legal problems, including debt and money advice, working out benefit entitlements, employment issues such as minimum wage and unfair dismissal, consumer advice, housing, homelessness, mortgage arrears, immigration and seeking asylum in the UK. CAB can also put you in touch with other agencies and organisations who have more specialised information and support facilities. |

| Additional information | There are eight outreach centres open at various times across the Clydesdale area. They are held on Monday: Kirkmuirhill Community Flat (10am - 12pm); Tuesday: Douglas - St Brides Community Centre (9.30 - 11.30am); Wednesday: Carluke Community Centre (10am - 12pm); Friday: Biggar Youth Project(10am - 12pm); Forth Community Flat (10am - 12pm); Coalburn One-Stop Shop (11am - 1pm). People with disabilities who are unable to make it along to the Lanark office or their nearest outreach centre can arrange for a home visit. |
