Care and carers FAQs
Q: How can I get a carer's assessment?
Q: Do I qualify for Carer's Allowance?
Q: I help to care for my mother, what help is available for me?
Answer:
Contact your local Social Work Office and ask for a carer's assessment.
A carers assessment will identify what help you may need to support you in your caring role. It's an opportunity for you to discuss with us what help you need with caring.
You can also discuss any help that would maintain your own health and balance caring with other aspects of your life, like work and family.
