Bin collection calendar
To find out the exact day your bin is collected please contact Refuse, Grounds Maintenance and Street cleaning on 0303 123 1020. Once you find out your bin uplift day, the calendar below details future dates of uplifts.
Your blue Recycling bin is emptied every two weeks, alternating with your Normal household bin.
Glass bins are emptied four weekly by a specific vehicle and this takes place in your area on the dates above the red collection notice in the tables below.
Key to calendar
A box with a blue letter "R" shows when your blue recycling bin will be emptied. A grey box with the letter "N" shows when your normal household bin will be emptied. The red box spanning each week shows when glass recycling bins will be emptied. The red row relates to the dates shown above it.

For example: If you live in Hamilton and your bin collection day is a Wednesday, you should put out:
- Blue recycling bin on the 2nd, 16th and 30th of May
- Black or green household waste bin on the 9th and 23rd May
- Red glass bin on the 16th of May
