Careers advice

South Lanarkshire supports a range of jobs access programmes to help people into work or training.  You will find details of these in the information section below.

Skills Development Scotland  provides advice for people of all ages seeking work or information on training for a new career. Their course finder can help you identify universities, colleges and training providers offering the subjects you need.

The Job Seekers home page on the Direct Gov website enables you to search all the vacancies registered with Job Centres.

You can also use the Direct Gov site to apply for benefits such as job seekers allowance and find out about other benefits and help when looking for work.

Other information on careers is available on Education Gateway's PlanIT Plus site and you can search for modern apprenticeship opportunities on their MappIT site.
