How to object to a liquor licence application
You can share your views on a liquor licence application. Anyone can object, support the application, or suggest changes. You must contact us within 21 days of the publish date shown on the notice.
What you can do

- object to the application
- support the application
- ask for changes to how the premises will operate
- request conditions if the licence is approved
Reasons for objections
Your comments must relate to one or more of these:
- preventing crime and disorder
- keeping people safe
- preventing public nuisance
- protecting and improving public health
- protecting children from harm
How to send your comments
Send your objection or representation to the Licensing office listed in the advert.

- post to: Licensing and Registration, Floor 11, Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA
Make sure we receive your comments before the deadline. The final date is shown in the advert.

What happens next
We will:
- share your comments with the applicant
- consider them when making a decision
- invite you and the applicant to a hearing if needed
