Licence fees and charges
If you are applying for a premises licence, the fee you pay depends on your property’s rateable value. You will pay a one‑off application fee and an annual fee to keep your licence active. If you want to make a major change to your licence, you will pay a reduced fee.
Application fees
- Category 1 (no rateable value or clubs): £200
Major variation: £133.33 - Category 2 (£1 to £11,500): £800
Major variation: £533.33 - Category 3 (£11,501 to £35,000): £1,100
Major variation: £733.33 - Category 4 (£35,001 to £70,000): £1,300
Major variation: £866.66 - Category 5 (£70,001 to £140,000): £1,700
Major variation: £1,133.33 - Category 6 (over £140,000): £2,000
Major variation: £1,333.33
An application for a major variation will be charged at two thirds of the original premises licence fee.
Annual fees
To keep your licence, you must pay each year:
- Category 1: £180
- Category 2: £220
- Category 3: £280
- Category 4: £500
- Category 5: £700
- Category 6: £900
