Health and safety

More than 3,600 premises from shops to warehouses and sports centres are registered with the council's Environmental Services, in line with health and safety legislation.

The council also has its own Health and Safety team based within Corporate Resources. It aims to promote a healthy and safe working environment and positive safety culture which protects employees and people who use our services.
