Street care and cleaning

Our litter hit squads are out seven days a week targeting town centres and main streets. This is backed up by our Clean Sweep campaign.

Keep Scotland Beautiful monitors how well we tackle litter and results show that South Lanarkshire is getting cleaner and consistently achieved scores in the 'excellent' category.  However, litter removal is dependant on whether we own or maintain the area.

As well as tackling litter, illegal fly posting and dog fouling, we provide litter bins which are emptied regularly. These can be used for dog fouling as long as the waste is double wrapped and tied.
