Tobacco and Nicotine Vapour Products legislation - sale and purchase

Scottish Tobacco Retailer Register

Retailers who sell tobacco must sign up to the Scottish Tobacco Retailer's Register. It is illegal for retailers who are not on the register to sell tobacco products. By doing so retailers could be fined up to £20,000 and receive six months in prison.

The registration scheme helps us to enforce age restriction laws.

To register please see the Scottish Tobacco Retailer's Register website. And for more information on Trading Standards' role in this please watch this SL News bulletin.
