Council budget

On an annual basis South Lanarkshire Council sets out its budget proposals and Council tax rate for the forthcoming financial year. This is usually considered and agreed by Committee in February every year.

The Council has a revenue budget and a capital budget. Each Resource (department) has its own individual budget and then there is an overall budget for the Council.

Details of the budgets can be found in the Committee papers which are discussed and officially agreed upon by Councillors at a meeting of South Lanarkshire Council.
