Free nursery places for 2-3 year olds
As of August 2014, some two-year-old children will be able to have a free place in a nursery.
Qualifying children will be entitled to 600 hours of early learning and childcare between August and June of each year during our school term. The sessions available are:
- 8.45am – 11.55am (morning session)
- 1pm – 4.10pm (afternoon session)
When making an application you need to tell us whether you want morning or afternoon sessions and how many sessions you want your child to attend each week. The minimum number of sessions available is three and the maximum is five.
How to apply
If you would like to apply, please choose one of the participating nurseries below and go along to the nursery to complete an application form. You will need to provide the following:
- a copy of your child’s birth certificate
- two proofs of residence such as a utility bill
- a copy letter of your benefits which confirm your entitlement (you will need to take this to your local Q and A office - the nursery will tell you which one to visit)
