There are many types and causes of dampness including:

• condensation
• rising dampness
• rain water penetration
• defective plumbing

This can often be fixed with our advice but Environmental Health Officers have the power to issue statutory notices which mean you must have the repairs done. In certain circumstances we may carry out work and bill the owner.
