Enhanced Volunteering Initiative (EVI)

EVI is an employability programme that supports individuals who have faced significant challenges in their life but want to get back into employment.

It offers individuals the chance to gain skills, training and receive holistic support. Key features of the service are:

  • Participants can take part in enhanced volunteering and work placements as a means of progressing towards achieving their employment goals
  • Each participant is matched to a volunteer mentor who will offer additional support and encouragement to assist them to engage with the service and to progress in their life, focusing in particular on their employability

Target group:

  • unemployed
  • aged 16+
  • living in South Lanarkshire
  • considered furthest removed from the labour market
