Community transport

Community transport schemes provide transport for groups who have difficulty using existing public transport. If you want picked up near or at your home you can use MyBus or MyBus Rural.

Most community transport is run by volunteers. In South Lanarkshire they are run by:

  • Avondale Community Transport (in Strathaven)
  • Carluke Community Transport
  • Blantyre Volunteer Group
  • East Kilbride Community Transport
  • East Kilbride Shopmobility
  • Forth Community Transport
  • Hamilton Volunteer Group
  • Larkhall and District Volunteer Group
  • Rural Development Trust (Douglas Water)
  • Strutherhill Community Bus Group
  • Woman's Royal Voluntary Service (Lesmahagow)

If you would like to set up a community transport scheme contact Community and Enterprise Resources, as there could be an opportunity in your area.
