Speaking at a planning committee
What happens after I've spoken?
You'll be asked to leave the committee table after you've finished speaking and after you have answered any questions from the applicant and councillors. You can still stay in the public area of the room.
The councillors will be asked if they have anything they want to say.
The planning officer will then go over the main points of what has been said.
The committee will then discuss the application and make their decision to either approve or refuse.
Finally, the chair will clearly state what the decision is.
