Parking near schools

We want children to get to and from school safely. You can help by parking considerately and keeping streets clear near school gates.

Parking too close to the entrance makes it harder for children to cross safely, especially if they need to step out between cars. If you can, walk with your child to school and show them how to cross the road safely.

If you need to drive

If driving is your only option, please:

• Park well away from the school entrance
• Never stop or park on zig-zag markings
• Watch for children crossing and be ready to stop
