Countryside rangers
Countryside rangers
Our Countryside Rangers help you enjoy South Lanarkshire’s outdoor spaces while protecting wildlife, improving biodiversity and supporting safe access. They work across parks, paths and natural areas, offering advice, activities and support for local communities, schools and visitors.
Whether you want to get involved in a local project, learn more about your area or need guidance on outdoor access, the rangers are here to help.
What we do
Support communities
We organise events and activities that bring people together and help improve local green spaces. You can get involved in projects that care for your environment and wildlife.
Work with schools and groups
We work with schools, youth groups and community organisations to provide outdoor learning and hands-on activities.
Share local knowledge
We help you discover the area’s natural and cultural heritage. Our team can explain what makes these places special and how to enjoy them responsibly.
Give advice
We offer guidance on planning, land access and using outdoor spaces safely and responsibly.
