Crucial Crew
Crucial Crew helps young people aged 10-12 avoid becoming victims of crime, cope with dangerous situations, learn social responsibility, and understand the role of the emergency services.
Every year more than 3000 South Lanarkshire P7 school children attend the event.
Council and emergency services staff recreate safety scenarios so that the children can then learn about the potential hazards at home and on the road and the health and safety around building sites and railways. Young people are also told about the dangers of drugs, dealing with bullying and internet safety.
