Crematorium

Welcome to South Lanarkshire Crematorium. We serve local families and visitors, offering a peaceful setting for remembering loved ones and celebrating lives. Set in landscaped gardens overlooking the Clyde Valley, our crematorium is here to help you through difficult times, provide memorial services, and offer practical support whenever you need it. You can visit us, attend services, or plan a memorial – all in a calm, respectful environment.

Parking and facilities

We have parking for 140 cars, including disabled bays. Our main hall seats 160, with extra space in the lobby and waiting area. For your safety, there’s a defibrillator on-site.

Services and support

We can help you arrange memorials and can provide an organist if needed for services.

Accessibility

We want everyone to feel welcome. Disabled parking, ramps, level access, handrails, hearing loop, accessible toilets, and reception are available. Braille service books, a wheelchair, and staff assistance are offered on request.

Opening hours and visiting arrangements

The landscaped gardens are open to visitors throughout the day, every day of the week, providing a tranquil setting for private remembrance and reflection.

Book of Remembrance

The book of remembrance room is accessible daily from 8am to 8pm, allowing family and friends to view entries and leave flowers in memory of loved ones at their convenience.

During times when staff are not present to turn the pages of the traditional book, a digital kiosk ensures that the online book of remembrance remains available, offering uninterrupted access to memorial entries.

Our office is open:

• Monday to Thursday - 8.45am - 4.45pm
• Friday 8.45 am - 4.15pm

During office hours, staff are available to assist, answer queries, and support visitors with arrangements or information as needed. The offices are closed on all public holidays.
