Consultations
Consultations including the whole community
Our Citizen's Panel has been recruited to represent a good cross section of South Lanarkshire's community.
We also liaise closely with a number of organisations that strengthen links with communities as well as groups of people who might otherwise find it difficult to participate in consultations.
This includes consultation with:
- community councils and school boards
- Seniors Together and the Older People's Assembly
- Lanarkshire Ethnic Minority Action Group (LEMAG)
- carers
- the deaf community
- Disability Action Group
- gypsy travellers
- people experiencing homelessness
To ensure that consultations are carried out to a good standard they are monitored by the Continuous Improvement Steering Group.
Our Consultation Working Group has a role in managing and reporting on consultation exercises at departmental level. It is also responsible for maintaining a database of consultations.
