Nurseries and playgroups

We all want to make sure young children get off to the best start in those crucial early years and there's been a big expansion in nursery provision in recent times. You can find out more about all the options available on the Scottish Childcare website.

Free pre-school education places are available for all three and four-year-olds in Scotland. South Lanarkshire Council has places in its own nurseries and nursery classes within our schools. We also work with partners in the the private and voluntary sector.

To apply for a place, contact the nursery of your choice directly. They are listed in the nursery directory.
