Arts and culture in nurseries and schools
There are four cultural co-ordinators covering the four main areas of South Lanarkshire.
The main aims of the programme are to provide a range of arts opportunities which back up work already being done as part of the curriculum.
Covering visual art, dance, drama, music, film-making, heritage and storytelling, the projects range from one-off opportunities such as visiting theatre companies, to more lasting projects such as an Artist in Residence for a school term. Projects take place within the school day and also after school.
Cultural co-ordinators also advise nurseries and primary schools on the types of opportunities available within the arts.
