The average weekly rent in South Lanarkshire for 2012/13 is £55.95.

Your rent helps us to deliver many vital services so it is important we get your payment on time. As a South Lanarkshire Council tenant it is your responsibility to make sure your rent is paid on time, if you are unsure when your rent is due please refer to our fortnightly rent cycles page for further information.

If you are unsure how much rent you are expected to pay or have difficulty paying your rent on time please contact your local area housing office where our staff will be happy to help you.

If you become a new tenant with South Lanarkshire Council you will be required to pay a fortnight's rent in advance at your sign up. If you qualify for housing benefit this will be taken into account.
