Emergency closure due to bridge subsidence

Due to subsidence at Craig Bridge, Sandford a section of the B7086 Lesmahagow Road will be closed for emergency repairs.

The section of road between Newton Highway and Struther Highway will be closed from 9.30am on Thursday 12 until Tuesday 31 October for road surface and bridge deck work.

A diversion will be in place as follows: B7086 Lesmahagow Road, B7086 to Blackwood, B7078 to Canderside Toll, A71 via Stonehouse to Strathaven and back onto B7086 Lesmahagow Road.

Drivers are being advised to either avoid the area or allow additional time for their journey for the duration of the closure. Apologies for any inconvenience.
