South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership and PAMIS are holding an event, which we would like to invite you to.
Come along to our carers information and consultation event on Wednesday 29 November 2017 at South Lanarkshire Council Banqueting Hall, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA. The event runs from 10.30am - 2pm (coffee and registration 10-10.30am).
There will be an opportunity to hear about some developments in terms of carers' rights (through the Carers Scotland Act) and of the social work assessment process in Scotland (self-directed support). There will be some short presentations and some workshops/discussions. Feedback from those attending the event will help us to shape the new Carers Strategy for South Lanarkshire.
This event will also highlight the work of PAMIS (Promoting a More Inclusive Society). PAMIS is a national organisation that supports people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their families. They are celebrating their 25th year. We have chosen the Banqueting Hall as the venue to make the event as accessible as possible. PAMIS has also just acquired the first Scottish Mobile Changing Places toilet - the PAMILOO - which will also be at the Banqueting Hall on the 29th.
There will be a range of information stands in the hall and lunch will be provided. There is free parking in the council's main car park and by council headquarters, though spaces can be limited.
If you would like to attend the event please let us know by registering so that we can be sure of numbers and for catering purposes. To register please email your name, contact details and any dietary requirements to L.Y.McLaren@dundee.ac.uk or phone Lesley on 01698 420411.
