The Glasgow and Clyde Valley (GCV) Green Network Partnership has launched a new website along with quirky animation which highlights its key benefits.
The animation identifies the physical resources the Green Network can bring to communities across the partnership area – including South Lanarkshire - in terms of social, environmental and health impacts.
GCV Green Network Partnership Programme Manager Max Hislop said: “The GCV Green Network is crucial to protecting and enhancing the Glasgow City Region’s natural environment, bringing people closer to nature, providing safe places to walk and cycle, and as an important tool for climate resilience.
“Our new animation draws attention to the benefits a complete GCV Green Network will bring, and our new website offers greater insight into the scale of the task, how the Green Network will be funded and who needs to be involved in the project’s delivery.
“We hope our Partners will use the tools and strategies available on our site, take inspiration from some of our case studies, or simply understand our Vision and what we do a little better. We look forward to our continuing collaboration with the Council to realise this fantastic asset in South Lanarkshire and across the whole City Region.”
