With more than 100 halls and 154 schools in South Lanarkshire, there is no shortage of places in every town and village for community groups, classes and activities for all age groups.

Marriages and wedding receptions

Whether you are planning a religious or civil marriage or want to renew your wedding vows there are registration offices across South Lanarkshire. We also have a range of magnificent venues available for your marriage service or wedding reception and can arrange everything from the catering to floral displays.

Museums and historical attractions

Throughout South Lanarkshire there are a wide range of museums and places of historical interest to suit all ages and interests. As well as the UK's largest museum of country life at Kittochside in East Kilbride, there's also the World Heritage Site at New Lanark Village and the African explorer David Livingstone's birthplace in Blantyre.
