Private sector housing - grants, factoring and landlords
Many houses in the private sector need repairs and improvements. A recent Scottish Housing Condition Survey has estimated that 38% of private housing in South Lanarkshire need repairs totalling £400m. Rent and Housing Benefit South Lanarkshire Council has around 25,500 tenants. Many of the rents collected are subsidised by the Department for Work and Pensions through Housing Benefit and we can help tenants with their claim.
