District Courts, Licensing and Registration offices administer a range of betting, gaming and liquor licences on behalf of the Licensing Boards.
The Licensing Boards are separate statutory bodies from the Council, dealing with applications for public house, hotel and other alcoholic liquor licences. Applications are available by going to the Current liquor licensing applications page. They also deal with applications for betting and gaming licences and permits.
There are four Licensing Divisions in South Lanarkshire - Clydesdale (No 1), East Kilbride (No 2), Hamilton (No 3) and Rutherglen and Cambuslang (No 4). The Boards meet in January, March, June and October each year.
