Road Safety

The council backs many government road safety initiatives, adapting them for local use. You will find details on our wide range of education programmes for all age groups - from nursery schools to the over 60s.

There are also the winning entries in the annual road safety calendar competition and, for young drivers, an application form for a grant towards the Pass Plus scheme. For further information, contact the Road safety team.

If you want to alert us to any issues concerning road safety, contact your local roads office listed on the right or complete a Roads and lighting fault reporting form. If it is very urgent, phone Roads and lighting faults which is staffed 24 hours.
