Health and wellbeing

Improving everyone's health and wellbeing in South Lanarkshire is a top priority for the Council, not just making sure you have somewhere to go when you are ill but that everyone has the chance of a healthy and active life.

The Joint Health Improvement Plan Stronger together for health and follow up report Third Review of Stronger together for health published last year provide fuller details. These PDF documents will open in a new window.

Written in conjunction with NHS Lanarkshire, NHS Greater Glasgow, and other Community Planning Partners these plans reflect the huge amount of work that is and will be going on at local level by each organisation.

In general, the Council aims to bring health improvement into all of its services. This recognises the impact so many of our services have on the health and wellbeing of everyone in South Lanarkshire.
