Community planning is all about working together with partners such as NHS, Police, Fire, Scottish Enterprise and the voluntary sector and involving communities in the debate to help design and deliver better services. The aim is to improve the quality of life for people in the area.
In South Lanarkshire, the community planning partners are working together to tackle issues such as unemployment, crime, poor health and poor transport. They also aim to regenerate deprived communities. These are things none of us can succeed in doing on our own.

which covers the period 2005 to 2015. Each partner adopts the Community Plan by ensuring that its corporate plan reflects the community plan. The seven Community Planning Theme Partnerships are listed below.
