The Lanarkshire Economic Forum covers both the North and South Lanarkshire areas, working in partnership with Scottish Enterprise.

In July 2003, the Forum published Changing Gear, the economic strategy for Lanarkshire.

In the light of recent changes in the Scottish Enterprise network, the role of the Lanarkshire Economic Forum and planning the economic wellbeing of the area are being reviewed.
