East Kilbride Arts CentreSince opening in May 1994, the Arts Centre has become established as a well known and popular venue for drama, visual arts, music, comedy and film, as well as arts courses and children's activities. A number of local groups and organisations are also based in the East Kilbride Arts Centre. The Meeting Room and Studio Theatre (96 seats) are available for hire by contacting this facility. The Arts Centre Cafe offers a range of cafe/bar meals, beverages and snacks in recently refurbished, pleasant surroundings. The Cafe is also available for conferences and catered functions. The Cafe opens at 10.30am Monday to Friday, 10.00am on Saturday and 12pm on Sunday. Access is available by wheelchair to the lower floor (including the Cafe). Access to the upper floor is via lift. Advance notice for wheelchair bookings for performances is recommended. Induction loop hearing facilities are available. Toilets for the disabled are provided.
