Elderly and disabled - housing support

Photo:elderly resident with carer

From installing a ramp in someone's home to providing an older person with a community alarm, improved security or a sheltered house, housing support involves services that enable people to live in their own homes in their local community.

People who benefit from housing support services include those with disabilities, dementia or mental health problems as well as homeless youngsters, gypsy travellers and victims of domestic abuse.

Housing and Social Work work together to deliver services people need within their homes and are committed to providing a faster route to services through the single shared assessment process. Contact your local Social Work or Housing Office for more information.
