Local Housing Strategy (LHS)

The Local Housing Strategy (LHS) sets out how the Council and its partners will ensure our area has good quality housing of the right tenure, type and size in the right places to meet the needs and aspirations of residents.

Our Local Housing Strategy 2004-2009 is reviewed every year so we can report on progress. Our fourth review is due for publication by August 2008.

The LHS is supported by a suite of Topic Papers analysing the local housing scene and a number of research studies commissioned by us and our partners. This research together with consultation with residents and partners will help inform our next strategy which will cover the period 2009-2014.
